Polaroid Records — Subject: Isabel S.

[File 01]
Image Description: Forest path. Photo partially obscured. Left side blurred or darkened — likely caused by expired film.
Message: None.
Film: Unlabeled. Possibly not Isabel’s.
Notes: Forest appears split, as if torn. First image captured. Taken before the film was replaced. This Polaroid was found inside the Moleskine, separate from the others.

[File 02]
Image Description: Forest steps, partially overgrown. Soft natural light. Image is sharp and evenly exposed.
Message: “Procura as alturas onde risos e memórias esquecidos pairam no ar.”
(Seek the heights where forgotten laughter and memories float in the air.)
Film: New roll, inserted after first photo yielded no message.
Notes: First message received. Handwriting appears to match Isabel’s, though she denies writing it. No pen present at the time. This image marks the beginning of the trail.
[File 03]
Image Description: Mural detail. Two screaming faces — one pale, one golden — wide-eyed and hollow-mouthed. Thick black lines create a sense of motion and alarm.
Message: “Nos sussurros à tua volta, encontrarás o próximo passo.”
(In the whispers around you, you will find the next step.)
Film: Same new roll.
Notes: Message clearly handwritten on the white frame. The location is noisy, yet the message speaks of whispers. Isabel notes hearing a tour guide mention the Panorâmico de Monsanto shortly after taking this photo.

[File 04]
Image Description: Stained-glass mural inside Panorâmico de Monsanto. Stylized Vitruvian figures with outstretched arms, overlapping a cosmic backdrop of stars, chains, and planetary forms. Staircase cuts across the lower foreground.
Message: Quantas vezes já? (How many times now?)
Film: Same batch as previous trail photos.
Notes: This location marks a turning point. The first strong implication of repetition,  a loop or cycle. Isabel reports seeing a double of herself on the staircase shortly after taking the photo.
